KidsCo provides on-site before and after school childcare at McDonald Elementary.

• 7:00-8:45AM and
• 3:00-6:00PM

KidsCo is housed in a fun-filled space on the lower level of the Lincoln building, just to the left of the main entrance. The program will move to the McDonald School building when it opens in the Fall of 2012, in the north portable, which will be refurbished, of course!

It's very exciting to have on-site care for children in our school. There is plenty of research citing the benefit for the children of having the childcare teachers and school teachers in the same building, communicating frequently so they can mutually support every child.

Our KidsCo team knows how to engage children creatively in ways that support the growth of confidence and esteem. Kids Co. at McDonald is part of Seattle Public Schools' Community Alignment Initiative -- that means that their curricula integrates what kids learn during the school day.
