2012 Move-a-Thon results are in!

The amount raised is… $53,000!
Way to go Scotties!

HUGE thanks to the 182 students (66% of students) who worked so hard to collect pledges for our 2012 Move-a-Thon! And to ALL of the students who ran with such enthusiasm at the event.

The average amount raised per student who turned in a pledge sheet was $290. Wow! We are an amazing community.  Now we can start spending this money to enrich our children’s educations!

Special thanks to: Organizers, $ counters, lap counters, our Treasurer and especially donors!

Check out who was awarded prizes:

Ishikawa/Bailey 1st grade for most pledges collected...88 total!
Joaquin Tesch-Speirs (1st grade):  Most # of pledges overall
Caleb Wiley: Most Kindergarten laps
Jacob Zisman: Most 1st Grade laps
TIE: Henry Burton and Max Zorn: Most 2nd Grade laps
Lincoln Ferguson: Most 3rd Grade laps
TIE: Maria Einmo and Oliver Karstetter:  Most 4th/5th Grade laps

Congratulations!

Even though the goal of $60,000 was not reached, we feel like this was a huge success. Donations continue to be accepted in the office or online.

Many Thanks to these businesses:

QFC: For donating popsicles to all Move-a-Thon participants.

Earl Radford: For providing the beautiful balloon arch at a deep discount and installing it early in the morning at our school, one hour south of his home!
