McDonald Community Members, please join the PTA for its Spring PTA General Meeting.
This meeting is Hybrid @ School Library and Zoom.
McDonald International is keeping Plastic Film from landfills with Ridwell this spring! As part of this limited-time drive, you can bring these types of Plastic Film to a collection bin in our school hallway from May 1st - 21st. Ridwell will make sure they stay out of landfills and are turned into new decking materials instead—start collecting these items at home now.
You can also help McDonald recycle our school’s plastic film for the entire ‘24/’25 school year! Be sure to use this link to join Ridwell with an at-home membership by May 31st, 2024. If we sign up 10 or more new members by this date, we will be awarded monthly Plastic Film pickups for our school next year!
International Night will fully return this year! This has traditionally been one of the most important and exciting events in the school year, and we can't wait to see everyone there. There will be class performances, multicultural classes, food from different cultures, and more. Let's come together as a community to celebrate the "international" at the heart of McDonald International School.
When: Saturday, May 4, from 3 - 6:30 p.m.

June 21 Last Day of School (1-hour Early Dismissal start of Summer Break)
The 3rd annual Plant and Seed Exchange will be on April 21 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., at the McDonald School playground.
Bring your family & friends and any plants, seeds or gardening items to share (optional) for this community event to celebrate Earth Day, horticultural science and spring!
In addition to sharing plants and seeds, folks will have the opportunity to check out a worm bin! One (or more) of our parents is passionate about this and will set-up an education station teaching recycling (sorting), compost and garbage.

Our 2nd annual event and auction at Ravenna Brewing Co.: Thursday, March 21st, 5 - 9 pm. Silent Auction, Live Music, Cash Bar with Beer & Wine, Food Truck on Premises
Ravenna will generously donate a portion of proceeds to McDonald School. All auction proceeds will go to the McDonald School 2023-2024 fundraising campaign.

PLEASE RSVP! We are happy to announce our PTA Events Team will be hosting the first Movie Night of the school year for our 3rd through 5th graders (plus parents and siblings!) Friday, December 8, at the Scottie cafeteria at McDonald. A friendly movie will be chosen from the list of movies our school has a license to use. We will have fresh popcorn, snacks, and drinks for purchase (earnings will go to our school fund!). Please use the link below to RSVP and volunteers to set-up/clean-up.
